Jeff Flake and Internet Providers Sell Arizonans Privacy to Highest Bidders

After the Senate voted in favor of Jeff Flake’s resolution to allow internet service providers to sell their users’ internet browsing history for profit, Alexis Tameron, Chairwoman of the Arizona State Democratic Party, released the following statement:

“Jeff Flake’s plan to let internet service providers sell their customer’s browsing history for a profit – meaning anyone could pay to see a user’s financial and health information, Social Security numbers, communications, and children’s information – is reckless and a violation of our privacy. Jeff Flake has shown us that he is once again siding with the interests of big business over the Arizonans who voted him into office.”
