ICYMI: McSally’s “Secret” AZSen Campaign Panned by Local Media, Lukewarm Support by GOP Colleagues

PHOENIX – For two weeks, Mitch McConnell’s Martha McSally wanted everyone to know about her U.S. Senate campaign, except Arizonans. But by spilling the beans to the Washington establishment and national media ahead of Arizonans, McSally has been panned by local media and has some wondering if she was “ready for prime time” all together.

Further, Arizona Republicans have been in no rush to support Martha McSally and her “secret” U.S. Senate campaign either. U.S. Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake and Congressman Paul Gosar have all given public statements that were lukewarm at best.

All this while Martha McSally has enthusiastically supported policies to yank health insurance and eliminate crucial tax credits, such as the mortgage interest deduction, away from hardworking Arizonans. McSally’s “secret” campaign has already started off on the wrong foot.

Tweet by Joe Ferguson: Sorry Twitterverse, I was on FB live during the @RepMcSally and Linda McMahon presser.  As we were told, McSally refused to talk about her #AZSen plans, noting since it was official stop, she couldn’t talk politics. #AZ02
